Seminary Journal Preview and Class Motto

I am so excited about our **Seminary class journals, I just have to share.
Here is a sneak preview of the journals each student will receive on the first day of class.
S.T.O.M.P. is our motto for the year.
Any guesses what S.T.O.M.P. stands for?
Write your guess in the comment section below.
As my students enter the building on the first day of class, they will see many sets of footprints leading from the door to all over the building. The footprints will lead them to solve the mystery of what S.T.O.M.P stands for. Once they have the clues, I will introduce them to the class motto.
More details and photos to come.

**I purchased these composition books at Office Depot for 25 cents each. There was a limit of 3 per customer but I asked if the limit could be waived and they said YES because I am a teacher. For 25 students each, I purchased 50 books in anticipation of some of them using more than one book this school year.

  1. I use S.T.O.M.P. for my BoM year theme too! I use old shoes of all different styles all over my room to show that we are all different, but walking the same path to God.

  2. Oh, Sharon, I love that idea! I will totally use that at some point!!!! Thank you for sharing!

  3. This sounds great. I wasjust called to teach seminary and have 1 week Roget it together what does stomp stand for and what are your clues. I would love to use your idea

    1. Susan, Sciptorians Trying Out Moroni's Promise aka S.T.O.M.P.
I am going to have them find all the words for Moroni 10:4-5 and put them together to introduce our Book of Mormon year.

    2. Soounds good I thought it was scriptures testimony obedience missionaries promised blessings. I get it now I may use that for my first day too if that's ok with you. I am scrambling to put together a theme and figure out what I'm doing...never done this before any other helpful hints?

    3. Susan, it is not my original idea. Please use anything you see here on this blog. That is why I share. There are several great blogs out there and Pinterest is full of great ideas for Seminary. I like and and Sugardoodle, and so many more.
Just focus on using your manual and the CES materials and the rest will come to you. Good Luck

  4. hey Shauna, I have never done a theme for the year. Is this something we are supposed to do? How do you focus on it during the year?
Maybe this year, we can skype our classes!
